Shuto & Remi are always on the move, curious, cautious, and perfectly balanced.

At 24 inches tall, Shuto is a thoughtful Japanese-American boy with warm brown eyes and a full head of black hair, dressed in a beige and white pinstriped collared jumper that feels more like summer than mid-winter. Seasons don’t slow him down. If there’s a road to take, he’s ready.

Shuto loves exploring, especially on long car trips where strange roadside attractions and forgotten places wait to be discovered. He’s brave on the outside, eager to see what’s next, but new things still make his heart race just a little.

That’s where Remi comes in. Shuto’s first teddy bear, Remi, is the apprehensive one, quietly absorbing Shuto’s real fears so Shuto can keep going. Remi worries, Remi hesitates, Remi holds the nervous feelings, while Shuto looks out the window and imagines what’s ahead.
